Who doesn’t like a good time at a get-together with family and friends?  For many this includes alcoholic beverages. But what about those who choose not to drink, or are underage? The answer is simple; make drinks that taste great, without the alcohol. The following seven non-alcoholic drinks are recipes that have been tried and loved.

The first drink is sparkling breakfast punch. This recipe can be made ahead of time and is great for people of any age. The ingredients list is simple: 3 cups of pomegranate and orange juice, 2 cups pineapple juice, and 1 liter of ginger ale and club soda. All of these ingredients need to be chilled before mixed together. For the best results, add the ginger ale and club soda right before serving.

Sangria is an all-time favorite…and, believe it or not, it can taste great without the alcohol! All you need is orange soda, raspberry puree, grape juice and tea. Mix the ingredients together, up to 24 hours before the party and add the orange soda right before the party starts. This will give the sangria a light, bubbly taste.

For many, eggnog conjures the traditions of the holidays.  Eggnog, however, is great anytime!  But what if you don’t want the rum? Eggnog is quite strong on its own. It has a very thick, creamy texture. The rum offsets that texture; instead of rum you can add coconut milk. This will make the mixture less thick, but still as creamy and delicious as ever.

If you are having a party after breakfast and before lunch, the  party brunch tonic is a perfect drink to pair with your meal. You will need 1 cup of sugar and water, 4 cups cranberry juice, 2 cups orange juice, 4 rosemary sprigs and 3 cups club soda. Heat the sugar and water to a boil and simmer for four minutes. Then add the rosemary sprigs and continue to simmer for five more minutes. Once done simmering, chill overnight. The next day discard the rosemary and mix all of the ingredients together and serve.

Another favorite is spiced pomegranate. The recipe behind this tangy but sweet drink is simple. It only requires grape juice, pineapple juice, cinnamon and cloves. Unlike many drinks, this drink can be served warm, cold or with soda water.

Poinsettia Sippers is another non-alcoholic drink. It has a warm, but refreshing taste. To make this drink mix cranberry juice, apple juice, cinnamon and cloves. It can be served warm or chilled.

The last delicious non-alcoholic drink, great for any party, is festive fruit punch. This drink is simple to make, mix orange, pineapple and cranberry juices with tonic water. It is fizzy, fruity, and fun.

All of these drinks are great alternatives for any season. This year, be sure to have alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks for your party. You might be surprised at which drink your guests like more.
